NEW DELHI, JAN 31

At the ABP News’ prestigious platform, “Shikhar Sammelan”, Member of Parliament from North-East Delhi, Manoj Tiwari, further intensified political discourse ahead of the impending Delhi Assembly elections by saying, “The claim by Arvind Kejriwal that Haryana is contaminating Yamuna’s water is completely baseless. Even our Prime Minister drinks this water. It’s ironic that after 10 years of AAP’s rule, people in Delhi are still deprived of clean drinking water. Families are forced to spend ₹2,000-₹3,000 monthly on water and struggle to meet basic needs like bathing their children. Perhaps Kejriwal Ji will miraculously declare the Yamuna water pure after February 5. The question remains – why hasn’t the AAP government delivered on its promises of clean water for all, even after a decade in power?”

“I’ve worked tirelessly to improving water conditions in my constituency in Delhi. The successful hosting of National Sports here stands as a proof; athletes participated without any hesitation. I accept that a lot needs to be done as it is still not 100% free from pollutants,” he added.

Highlighting the AAP government’s failure in addressing water issues, he said, “The 27-km stretch from Kalindi Kunj to Wazirabad remains heavily polluted due to unchecked drainage flowing into the Yamuna. In 10 years, the AAP government hasn’t made the river drainage-free. It didn’t conduct a single meeting to discuss water issues. This shows their complete lack of seriousness in cleaning the Yamuna and resolving Delhi’s water crisis.”

Answering a question about Delhi CM house construction, he said, “It is being investigated by agencies. We will know the soon. Our CM will not live in Sheesh Mahal, which is a symbol of corruption. If BJP wins, we will open Sheesh Mahal for the public to show them how Kejriwal has broken their trust.”

Responding to a question on BJP’s manifesto and freebies, he said, “The difference is clear – when you promise and don’t deliver, that’s ‘revri’. The AAP government has done this in Delhi for 10 years. BJP delivers what it promises, like financial assistance for poor women in Haryana, Maharashtra, MP, and free gas connections to 12 crore families.”

He further said, “No corner of Delhi is truly happy today. The BJP government will bring change through its policies and governance while by providing direct monetary assistance like ₹21,000 to pregnant women and ₹10,000 for medical treatment. After winning the Delhi elections, we will continue AAP’s good policies like 200 units of free electricity and free bus rides for women, while ensuring real progress.”

The ‘Shikhar Sammelan’ reinforced ABP News’ dedication to strengthening democratic discussions and helping people make informed choices for the country’s future. As the voice of democracy echoes across the nation, ABP News continues to guide the way by empowering citizens with knowledge and encouraging active participation in civic life.
