With an aim to give a glimpse into the fascinating and rapidly growing field of Robotics to curious school students, the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) is going to host an interactive session on “Robotics Around Us” on Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 10:30 am to Noon. The session is open for 14-16-year-old school students of classes 9 to 12, looking for an opportunity to start learning robotics.
The interactive session will be delivered by Prof Harish PM, Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at IITGN, who also leads the SysIDEA Robotics Lab at the Institute. The participating students will get a chance to delve into the fundamentals of robotics, witness fascinating examples of robots, and get a sneak peek into what the future holds for robotics and automation in an engaging way. There will also be fun games and screening of videos showcasing cutting-edge developments in the field of robotics, followed by insightful discussions. Moreover, students will also be able to see robotics projects from Prof Harish’s lab and explore the scenic IITGN campus.
