- Defence ministers of both nations to co-chair 22nd Inter-Governmental Commission meeting

India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Russia’s Defence Minister Andrei Belousov will co-chair the 22nd India–Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on Military and Military Technical Cooperation in New Delhi on Thursday, December 4, 2025. The high-level ministerial meeting will review the full spectrum of bilateral defence partnership, spanning military cooperation, joint technologies, and long-term strategic collaboration.
Both sides will also exchange views on regional and global security developments, reinforcing the significance of the India–Russia defence relationship in a rapidly evolving geopolitical landscape.
During his visit, the Russian Defence Minister will lay a wreath at the National War Memorial to honour Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
