The Indian Army successfully conducted Exercise Suraksha Samnvay 2025 in Gandhinagar from 22–27 September, bringing together the Armed Forces, paramilitary organisations, civil agencies, academia and industry in a powerful demonstration of Military–Civil Fusion (MCF).
The event saw the participation of the Indian Army, Indian Coast Guard, Indian Railways, CRPF, BSF, CISF, NDRF, SDRF, Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), National Forensic Science University (NFSU), Silver Oak University, Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration and NCC.

Highlights of the Exercise
- Indian Army: Orientation on Army’s organisation, role in nation-building, and a lecture on ‘Operation Sindoor’ — precision strikes to achieve national objectives.
- Indian Coast Guard: Stressed the significance of coastal security, maritime surveillance and inter-agency coordination.
- Indian Railways: Showcased its critical role in strategic mobility, troop deployment and logistics.
- Cyber Security (NFSU): Addressed cyber warfare threats, digital resilience and protection of national information systems.
- NDRF: Highlighted disaster management, community resilience and synergy with armed forces during emergencies.
- Defence Manufacturers: Displayed indigenous innovations under Atmanirbhar Bharat, showcasing cutting-edge technologies for defence preparedness.

Hands-on Civilian Participation
Civil participants — students, professionals and administrators — visited the Army camp at Gandhinagar where they:
- Interacted with soldiers and witnessed Army weapons and equipment.
- Took part in rock climbing, slithering and firing practice, gaining first-hand military exposure.
- Experienced the discipline, camaraderie and leadership culture of the Armed Forces.
Message of the Exercise
Exercise Suraksha Samnvay 2025 reinforced the importance of blending military readiness with civilian expertise, innovation and industrial support. By combining lectures, demonstrations, camp visits and adventure activities, the event strengthened trust, awareness and collaboration between the Armed Forces and society.
