Addressing the graduates, Dr. Nilesh Desai, Director, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Ahmedabad remarked, “Graduation marks both an exciting milestone and a stepping stone into an era of limitless possibilities. This generation has witnessed unprecedented challenges, including the pandemic, yet has emerged stronger and more resilient. The post-pandemic world is brimming with opportunities, especially in sectors like space and technology, where India is making remarkable strides.”

“Scientists and entrepreneurs never retire. The ideas that propagate in your mind can be converted into a startup. The space sector, in particular, is gaining momentum, with over 300 space startups registered in the last two and a half years. Remember, innovation and research are your greatest tools—embrace the cycle of learning, unlearning, and relearning. Israel is known as a startup country, and India, as the world’s 3rd largest in space, is quickly catching up. One drawback is that 90% of startups fail. There can be many factors for this, but do not let that hold you back. Keep pushing forward, and your efforts will lead to breakthroughs,” he further went on to say.

Echoing similar sentiments, Dr Viranchi Shah, President Indian Drug Manufacturers’ Association (IDMA), said, “Graduation is not just the culmination of academic efforts but the beginning of a journey filled with opportunities and challenges. In today’s dynamic world, adaptability, persistence, and the ability to identify opportunities are key to success. I urge graduates to hone their soft skills alongside technical expertise, as strong interpersonal abilities will set them apart in the era of AI and automation. As you step into the professional world, stay focused, embrace learning, and be prepared to innovate and lead.”
The celebrations concluded on a high note, inspiring graduates to embark on their professional journeys with confidence and vision.
Speaking about the convocation, Rishabh Jain, President, Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University, said, “Convocation is not just a ceremony to give away academic degrees to the students, but it is a celebration of hard work and perseverance of students and their innovations. At Swarrnim, we take immense pride in fostering an ecosystem where students excel academically and emerge as leaders and changemakers with their innovations and entrepreneurial strides. We are delighted to honour their achievements and wish them great success in their future endeavours.”
Some 1,814 students of the university received their educational degrees in the grand ceremony.
