INS Valsura hosted members of Veteran Sailors Forum (Gujarat Chapter) on Sunday, November 28 as a part of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Swarnim Vijay Varsh” and “Navy Week celebrations 2021”, says a release.
Senior Officers from INS Valsura welcomed 117 members comprising 35 naval veterans and their families at the Valsura Museum. The visit gave an opportunity to the veterans to relive their memories and experiences of their training at the establishment. It was a nostalgic moment at their alma mater as also a recognition of their selfless service to the nation and the Indian Navy.
The veterans also had an informal interaction and experience sharing discussions with the current generation of Officers and sailors. The event was a big success and proved as an effective platform to bridge the “past” with the “present”.
