In a landmark moment for India’s automobile export ecosystem, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) has propelled Mundra Port into the league of global leaders, firmly establishing it as India’s largest auto export hub.
The milestone comes with a record-breaking feat at the Mundra Ro-Ro Terminal, where 6,008 cars were exported in a single shipment aboard MV NOCC ADRIATIC—the highest ever for a single vessel in the country.
Mundra’s rise is not a one-off achievement but a sustained surge. With annual exports exceeding 2,29,000 vehicles, the port has emerged as a critical gateway for India’s automobile industry, connecting manufacturers to over 100 international markets.
Driven by world-class infrastructure and operational excellence, the Ro-Ro terminal ensures highly efficient and specialised parking of vehicles inside ships along with timely and smooth handling, reinforcing Mundra’s reputation for speed and reliability.
Operational since 2009, the terminal has evolved into the preferred export hub for automobile manufacturers across Delhi-NCR, Rajasthan and Gujarat, offering 24×7 services for cars, buses and trucks.
What sets Mundra apart is its ultra-modern floating pontoon and link span systems, enabling uninterrupted operations regardless of sea tides. Complemented by advanced buffer yards, parking zones and vehicle washing facilities, the port delivers end-to-end efficiency.
Beyond automobiles, Mundra’s multi-modal connectivity and diversified cargo infrastructure—including gas, liquid, container and dry bulk handling—make it India’s largest commercial port and a vital economic gateway for northern and inland regions.
This latest achievement underscores APSEZ’s continued focus on innovation, customer-centric operations and scalable infrastructure, setting new benchmarks in global logistics.
