Indian Railways has announced a series of Special Train services to facilitate the dignified and comfortable travel of devotees commemorating the Martyrdom Day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the ninth Sikh Guru revered as Hind Di Chadar. The announcement was made by Shri Ravneet Singh Bittu, Minister of State for Railways and Food Processing Industries.
Honouring the Guru’s supreme sacrifice for religious freedom, truth, and human dignity, the Railways is ensuring smooth and safe travel arrangements for pilgrims visiting Sri Anandpur Sahib during this sacred observance.

Special Train Services
To accommodate the expected surge in devotees, two sets of dedicated trains will operate from 22–25 November 2025:
- Patna Sahib Special Train (All Classes)
- A 22-coach special train will depart from Patna on 23 November at 06:40 hrs, arriving at Sri Anandpur Sahib on 24 November at 04:15 hrs.
- The return journey will start from Sri Anandpur Sahib on 25 November at 21:00 hrs, reaching Old Delhi at 23:30 hrs.
- Halts: Lucknow, Moradabad, Ambala.
- Old Delhi AC Special Train (All AC Coaches)
- A daily AC special will depart from Old Delhi at 07:00 hrs on 22, 23, 24, and 25 November, reaching Sri Anandpur Sahib at 13:45 hrs.
- Return trains will depart at 20:30 hrs daily, arriving in Delhi at 03:15 hrs.
- Halts: Sonipat, Panipat, Kurukshetra, Ambala, Sirhind, New Morinda.
Minister Bittu said these services underscore the Railways’ commitment to offering accessible, reliable, and respectful travel options to the large number of devotees marking this solemn occasion. He added that the Railways feels honoured to support a pilgrimage that reflects the enduring legacy and teachings of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
Indian Railways has urged passengers to plan their travel in advance and make full use of these special services for a smooth and meaningful pilgrimage experience.
