Three athletes. One high-performance centre. One giant leap for Indian gymnastics. As the Commonwealth Games 2026 prepare to take centre stage in Glasgow, Scotland, the Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics High-Performance Centre (Odisha AM/NS GHPC) has emerged as a powerful launchpad for Indian sporting excellence, with three of its athletes selected to represent India at the prestigious Games.
The Commonwealth Games will be held in Glasgow from July 23 to August 2, 2026. Significantly, three of the eight Indian athletes selected in the artistic gymnastics category are products of the Odisha AM/NS GHPC—a remarkable representation that underlines the Centre’s growing influence on the national gymnastics landscape.

Tapan Mohanty and Tapeswaranath Das will be part of the Indian Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) Team, while Olympian Pranati Nayak will compete for the Indian Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) Team.
For Mohanty, the Glasgow call-up represents the fulfilment of a cherished ambition.
“Representing India at the Commonwealth Games is a dream come true. The training and support at Odisha AM/NS GHPC have prepared me to face tough competitions. My goal is to perform with precision and bring laurels to the Nation,” he said.
For Tapeswaranath Das, the Games mark a significant first step on an ambitious international journey
“This is my first Commonwealth Games, and I see it as a stepping stone to greater achievements. The facilities and coaching at Odisha AM/NS GHPC have given me confidence to compete at the highest level. I want to make India proud with my vault and all-around performances,” he said.
For Olympian Pranati Nayak, the Commonwealth Games stage presents another opportunity to test the strength, resilience and maturity forged through years of elite competition.
“Every competition is a test of patience and perseverance. Standing on the Commonwealth Games stage, I want to showcase the strength of Indian gymnastics. I am grateful to my coaches and Odisha AM/NS GHPC for their constant support, and I will give my best to bring glory to India,” she said.
The trio’s selection represents a significant milestone not only for the athletes but also for the Odisha AM/NS GHPC, which has been steadily building a high-performance ecosystem combining elite coaching, scientific training, athlete development and holistic support.
The achievement is a testament to the athletes’ discipline, determination and relentless pursuit of excellence, while highlighting the Centre’s growing role in nurturing talent capable of competing at the highest international level.

The Commonwealth Games selection comes after a string of strong performances by athletes associated with the Odisha AM/NS GHPC across prestigious national and international competitions.
The Centre’s gymnasts have made their mark at events including the International Continental Cup 2026 in Lisbon, the Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championship 2025, the FIG World Cup 2025 in Antalya, Turkey, and the Artistic Gymnastics National Championships 2025–26.
Their consistent performances have showcased the Centre’s competitive depth and readiness to prepare athletes for the demands of the global stage.
With Tapan Mohanty, Tapeswaranath Das and Olympian Pranati Nayak now set to carry India’s hopes at Glasgow, the Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics High-Performance Centre has delivered a powerful message: India’s next generation of gymnastics excellence is rising—with Odisha increasingly at its heart.
