Renowned cardiologist Padmashree Dr K M Cherian on Saturday unveiled the Kauvery Heart Institute, an initiative of the Kauvery Hospital Alwarpet in Chennai. The institute was launched during the inauguration of the two-day ‘Kauvery International Cardiology Conclave 2023’.
Inaugurating the ‘Kauvery International Cardiology Conclave 2023’, Dr K M Cherian announced that he is writing his autobiography and is planning to release the book on his 82nd birthday which falls on March 8 2024.

The autobiography will include the experience he had witnessed during disintegration of the then United States of Soviet Union into Russia through the windows of the hotel room he stayed in the then USSR just opposite to the White House (Presidential Palace), he added.
He also recalled that he had questioned his parents when India got independence at the age of 4 on August 15, 1947.
In his presidential address at the inauguration of ‘Kauvery International Cardiology Conclave 2023,’ Dr. Aravindan Selvaraj, Co-Founder & Executive Director of Kauvery Group of Hospitals said, “This International Conclave will enable the clinical talent to collaborate with international Doctors by embracing and leveraging the strengths of international colleagues to create an environment that benefits better clinical outcomes for our patients”
