Prime Minister Narendra Modi has conveyed his heartfelt greetings to Isha Foundation and the countless devotees of Lord Shiva on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivaratri 2025, which will be celebrated at Isha Yoga Center, Coimbatore,in the presence of Sadhguru.

In his message, the Prime Minister highlighted the deep spiritual significance of Maha Shivaratri, describing it as a festival that “evokes deep reverence and devotion for its spiritually uplifting quality.”
Reflecting on the deeper meaning of the festival, he highlighted that Mahashivratri marks the cosmic union of Bhagwan Shiva and Maa Parvati and that through devotion, prayers, and self-discipline, devotees can progress spiritually and establish a connection with the supreme divine energy.
He also expressed his appreciation for Sadhguru’s initiative to establish Adiyogi statues across India, stating that the transcendental form of Bhagwan Shiva will continue to inspire people towards self-awareness and higher consciousness. “
“It is particularly heartening to learn about the initiative to establish statues of Adiyogi in different parts of our nation. May the transcendental form of Bhagwan Shiva continue to inspire devotees and followers to make sustainable efforts towards developing awareness of the self and striving to develop higher consciousness.”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is among a host of dignitaries who are expected to participate in Isha’s Mahashivratri celebrations in the presence of Adiyogi and Sadhguru at Isha Yoga Center on 26 February 2025. The night-long celebrations will begin at 6 p.m. on the 26th and culminate at 6 a.m. on the 27th.
