Regional President Tatrakshika (North West) Kavita Harbola on Friday launched the Indian Coast Guard Auxiliary Barge ‘Urja Pravaha’ at Shoft Shipyard, Bharuch, says an ICG release.

Inspector General Anil Kumar Harbola, TM, Commander, Coast Guard Region (North West) and Sahay Raj, Managing Director, M/s Shoft Shipyard, which has designed and built this Barge were present on this occasion.
Aux Barge ‘Urja Pravaha’ is 36.96 mtr long with draft of 1.85 mtrs is designed to cargo ship fuel, aviation fuel and fresh water with a capacity of 60 ton, 10 ton and 40 ton respectively. The barge will enhance the Coast Guard operations by extending logistics support to Indian Coast Guard ships deployed in sea at far flung areas for various CG charters of duties.
