Rashtriya Raksha University Vice Chancellor Prof Bimal N Patel advocated the need to initiate ‘Exchange of Knowledge’ with Mexico so that both the countries can learn from each other’s advancements in the fields of security and to establish peaceful world order.

He offered this when a high-level delegates consisting 31 diplomats from Mexico paid a two-day visit to the Rashtriya Raksha University in Gandhinagar, on Friday and Saturday, to know the working of the university.
On Saturday, the group paid tribute to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi Ji and the Iron Man of India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

On the first day of their visit, they had and introductory session, where a video presentation was shown, introducing RRU. Next in the line, the School of Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security (SITAICS) presented ‘SASTRA’, the Security and Scientific Technical Research Association, which is India’s first national security innovation centre with the primary objective of facilitating a three-way engagement between academia, industry and the government for innovation, incubation and technology acceleration in the security space with emphasis on youth engagement and Ātmanirbhar Bhārat.

In furtherance, School of Internal Security and Police Administration (SISPA) gave their presentation regarding their aim and objectives in securing the field of Internal Security. In continuation, the School of International Cooperation, Security and Strategic Languages (SICSSL) and School of Internal Security, Defence and Strategic Studies (SISDSS) introduced the delegates with the objectives and vision of their respective schools and deliberated on the advances they have made in the furtherance of their vision.
The day ended with the presentation of Research and Publication team, who presented their DOPO presentation and then the delegates visited the cyber security lab and the faculties deliberated their working and advanced technological infrastructure.

On the final day of their visit, delegates had an interactive session with the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Bimal N Patel, who presented the vision and objective with which the university was established and he moved on to set forth the achievements, the university has accomplished in such a short span of time. He emphasised on the ‘Exchange of Knowledge’ programs, where he proposed that the university can have interchange of the scholars with Mexico, so that both the countries can learn from each other’s advancements in the fields of security and to establish peaceful world order.
He pointed out the crisis of climate change and its adverse effects on the sea borders, and discussed border area challenges. He emphasised on the university’s efforts in increasing the participation of women in police forces. In addition, he made the delegates familiar with the role, the university had played at the time of Covid-19 pandemic in identifying the Covid-prone areas, the hotspot zones and presenting data regarding the same to the responsible authorities at the local level, in the state of Gujarat, through the help of its IT and AI (Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence) based mechanism.
He assured that the University will keep ensuring that it remains a self-sustaining centre of learning, research, training and extension and will strive towards mobilizing material resources and create a base of high net-worth and high networked individuals and institutions to achieve this end; especially, to carry out new activities and programs. He pointed that collective pursuit of core objectives will lead us to the path of success.
Post this session, the delegates visited the advanced lab of School of Forensics, Risk Management and National Security (SFRMNS) and Performance Lab of School of Physical Education and Sports (SPES) and then moved on to visit the School of Security, Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice (SSLECJ) and School of Criminology and Behavioural Sciences (SCBS).
At last, the university organised a cultural evening to entertain the delegates.
