The School of Private, Industrial, and Corporate Security Management (SPICSM) of Rashtriya Raksha University hosts the valedictory ceremony for its first batch of 28 Junior Commissioned Officers/Other Ranks (JCOs/ORs) from all three wings of armed forces- Army, Air Force, Navy who have successfully completed the 12-week Certificate Course on Corporate Security Management, sponsored by the Directorate General-Resettlement (DGR) under the Ministry of Defence.

This course offers retiring JCOs/ORs an opportunity for transition to careers in the private & corporate security sector. The cohort includes 18 participants from the Indian Air Force, 9 from the Indian Army, and 1 from the Indian Navy.
The course is designed to equip JCOs/ORs with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in the private security sector. The curriculum includes modules on corporate security, specialized capsules, management, additional skills (English proficiency and computer literacy) and industrial visits. All participants successfully complete the course and receive certificates from Rashtriya Raksha University, recognized within the private security industry. The top three performers of the course awarded with certificates of achievement.
Mr. Ashwani Kaushik, Associate Director SPICSM, delivers the welcome speech and provides an overview of the course. He highlights that the collaboration with DGR marks a new chapter in advancing security education and emphasizes the importance of preparing defence personnel for impactful roles in the corporate sector.
Maj Gen. Ramesh Shanmugam G., ADG-NCC, Gujarat Directorate, acknowledges this significant step by RRU in raising standards of national security. He congratulates all trainees for opting for this course, which aligns closely with industry needs. He emphasizes that they are being skilled according to corporate requirements and will excel in their second innings.
Prof. (Dr.) Kalpesh H. Wandra, Pro Vice-Chancellor RRU, emphasizes that this partnership represents a milestone in enhancing the skills and capabilities of retiring service personnel, ensuring they are well-prepared for the demands of the corporate and industrial sectors. He proudly acknowledges the participation of personnel from the Army, Navy, and Air Force in this journey of skill enhancement and successful transition.
Mr. Nimesh Dave, Director SPICSM, extends his gratitude through a comprehensive vote of thanks. He underscores the significance of the Corporate Security Management Course and highlights its potential to prepare individuals for dynamic challenges in the corporate security domain, contributing to their professional growth. He also announces that SPICSM will offer this course to multiple batches, continually enhancing their skills to facilitate their entry into the private and corporate security industry.
