The Southern Railway’s (SR) seventh theme-based Bharat Gaurav train service will commence on Thursday, November 3 from Kudal Nagar to Amritsar. The 14-day round trip pilgrimage itinerary from Amritsar to Kudal Nagar will be on Wednesday, November 16.

With the objective of showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage and magnificent historical places to the people of India and the world, Indian Railways introduced the “Bharat Gaurav Trains” scheme with effect on November 23, 2021. In Southern Railway, the first service of the theme-based Bharat Gaurav roundtrip train service from Coimbatore North to Sainagar Shirdi was operated on 14.06.2022. Bharat Gaurav scheme also aims to leverage the core strengths of the professionals of the tourism sector to run theme-based trains to tap the vast tourist potential of India.
The service of Train No. 06905 Kudal Nagar – Amritsar Bharat Gaurav Train will commence at 7.40 pm from Kudal Nagar on Thursady, 03rd November, 2022 and reach Amritsar at 6.00 am on Friday, 11th November, 2022.
In the return direction Train No.06904 Amritsar – Kudal Nagar Bharat Gaurav Train will commence at 11.00 pm from Amritsar on Friday, 11th November, 2022 and reach Kudal Nagar at 2.30 am on Wednesday, 16th November, 2022.
Composition
Four AC 3-Tier coaches, Six – Sleeper coaches, Two -Pantry Cars and Two – General Second Class & Luggage-cum-Brake Vans (Total: 14).
This train will be operated by M/s. Travel Times India, a registered service provider.
6 Round trip services of Bharat Gaurav trains have been operated from Southern Railway so far. Sothern Railway has registered a revenue of Rs.6.3 crores, including GST, per so far from the operators of Bharat Gaurav trains from the 6 trips operated so far.
