The Sarang Helicopter Display Team of the Indian Air Force is set to stun Bharuch district with a breathtaking aerial performance over the Ankleshwar Airfield, bringing its trademark precision flying and aerobatic brilliance to Gujarat. The much-awaited public display will take place on Sunday, 07 December 2025 from 0930 hours onwards, following practice sorties from Wednesday to Friday, 03 to 05 December 2025.
Celebrated globally for its vibrant helicopters, immaculate formation flying and daring aerial choreography, Sarang—named after the Sanskrit word for peacock—has long been a symbol of India’s air prowess. As the IAF’s premier helicopter aerobatics team, Sarang represents the courage, discipline and excellence of the nation’s Air Warriors.
Since debuting internationally at the Asian Aerospace Show, Singapore (2004), the team has performed over 1,200 displays across more than 390 venues worldwide, inspiring millions with its synchronized maneuvers and flawless execution.
Flying the indigenously developed Dhruv Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH)—designed and produced by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL)—Sarang exemplifies India’s commitment to Atmanirbharta. The agile ALH Mk I, renowned for its maneuverability, reliability and multi-mission capabilities, forms the backbone of the team’s high-skill aerobatic routines.
As Sarang’s Dhruv helicopters paint the Ankleshwar sky with their sweeping formations, loops, cross-overs and precision passes, spectators can expect a spectacular demonstration of aerial heroism, national pride, technological strength and the indomitable spirit of the Indian Air Force.
