During his visit, Singh interacted with graduating officers, including 44 participants from friendly foreign nations, and congratulated them on successfully completing one of the most prestigious professional military courses.

Acknowledging their commitment and perseverance, he said the officers’ journey reflects dedication to excellence and service. He also appreciated their role in strengthening international cooperation:

Highlighting the strategic importance of DSSC, the Defence Secretary reiterated: “DSSC is playing a vital role in shaping future senior military leadership & promoting jointness among defence forces.”
He commended the institution’s focus on integrated training and its emphasis on synergy among the Army, Navy and Air Force—an essential requirement in modern multi-domain warfare.
The ceremony witnessed the presence of Defence Attaches from several friendly nations, reflecting the institution’s global stature and its role in defence diplomacy.
Established in 1948, DSSC has evolved into a premier tri-service training hub, equipping mid-level officers with the skills and perspective required for higher command responsibilities. Over the decades, the college has trained more than 19,500 Indian officers and over 2,000 international officers, many of whom have gone on to occupy key leadership roles across governments and armed forces worldwide.
As India advances towards integrated and future-ready defence capabilities, DSSC continues to stand as a symbol of excellence—where leadership, jointness and global camaraderie converge.
