Supreme Star Sarathkumaar, who has captured the hearts of Pan-Indian audiences for his brilliant performances and magnificent screen presence, is now gearing up for his 150th film titled ‘The Smile Man’ in which he plays a retired cop with amnesia. The movie is produced in grandeur by Salil Das of Magnum Movies and is directed by Syam-Praveen.
Actor Sarathkumaar has been one among the rarest breed of actors, who has managed to retain his stature as finest star in showbiz across the years in all South Indian cinemas with more successful hits. He is now stepping into his 150th movie that will be made at a big budget.
A retired police officer affected with amnesia on the verge of losing his complete memories wants to crack a complicated case. The movie will be an out-and-out investigation thriller that is laced with engrossing screenplay.
While Sarathkumaar plays the lead character, Sija Rose, Iniya, Rajkumar, George Maryan, Suresh Menon, Kumar Natarajan, ‘Rowdy Baby’ fame Azhagiya, and many more familiar actors essaying pivotal characters. Sri Kumar (Vetri starrer ‘Memories’ fame) is playing an important character.
Touted to be an investigative thriller drama, comedian George Maryan and Rajkumar, who has ‘Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom’ under his credits, is said to be a part of the supporting cast.
The Syam-Praveen director duo has already made the movie ‘Memories’ starring Vetri (Jiivi and 8 Thottakkal fame) in the lead role. Anand is penning the script and dialogues. Sri Saravanan is handling cinematography.
The other technicians involved in the project are San Lokesh (Editor), Gavaskar Avinash of IKK fame (Music). Anand has penned the screenplay and dialogues of the film. Ayna J Jaykanth (Art), M Muhammad (Costumes), Vinoth Sukumaran (Makeup), Mukesh Sharma (Production Manager), Sync Cinema (Sound Design), Sathish AIM (PRO), and Adhin Ollur (Publicity Designs). The film is co-produced by Deepa Salil and is produced by Salil Das of Magnum Movies.
