Swarrnim Science College, a constituent of Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University in Adalaj, organised a community-focused donation drive to commemorate Children’s Day on November 14. Nearly 50 students from BSc Semesters 1, 3 and 5, along with faculty members, actively participated in the initiative. Donation boxes were placed at the institute’s Idea Lab to collect clothes, books, toys and stationery for underprivileged children.

The drive was coordinated by Nilam Patel, Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology. She said the event was designed to encourage students to embrace values of kindness, empathy and social responsibility.
Faculty, staff and students were urged to contribute usable clothes, outgrown garments, books, toys and other essential items.
“The donation drive aimed to create awareness about the needs of underprivileged communities and demonstrate how even small contributions can support a child’s education and daily living,” said Dr Archana Pandey, Principal, Swarrnim Science College. “We wanted our students to meaningfully engage in community service and understand the value of sharing. Such experiences help build empathy and inspire them to make a positive difference in society.”
