A new sporting sensation has emerged from Ahmedabad, as Anayra Maniyar, a Grade III student of Delhi Public School (DPS) Bopal, captured the Under-9 Girls title at the First Gujarat State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament, underlining the immense potential of the state’s young sporting talent.
Held at the Veer Savarkar Sports Complex, Ahmedabad, from June 12 to 15, 2026, the prestigious state championship witnessed some of Gujarat’s brightest young paddlers competing for top honours.
Displaying remarkable composure beyond her years, Anayra combined speed, precision and fighting spirit to dominate the competition and emerge State Champion in the Under-9 Girls category.
Her impressive victory reflects not only her exceptional talent but also the disciplined training, relentless hard work and passion that have powered her rapid rise in the sport.
