NEW DELHI, JUNE 30

Taking a decisive step towards reshaping India’s enterprise AI landscape, Dell Technologies on Tuesday announced the launch of Dell PowerStore Elite in India, accompanied by a comprehensive portfolio of AI infrastructure innovations designed to help organisations transition from AI experimentation to large-scale business outcomes.

The launch, unveiled following Dell Technologies World 2026, introduces a new generation of AI-ready infrastructure engineered to address three of the biggest priorities for Indian enterprises—rapid deployment, data sovereignty and cyber resilience—while enabling organisations to retain complete control over their data and digital assets.

  • Dell Technologies launches PowerStore Elite in India, bringing next-generation AI-ready storage, cyber resilience and sovereign infrastructure to enterprise customers
  • New platform promises up to 3x higher performance, 5.8 PB effective capacity and continuous modernization without downtime or data migration
  • Dell expands its AI Factory with NVIDIA, enabling enterprises to deploy secure agentic AI—from desktops to hyperscale data centres—on infrastructure they own
  • Integrated AI ecosystem brings together Google, OpenAI, NVIDIA, Hugging Face, Palantir, SpaceXAI and ServiceNow on a unified on-premises platform
  • Dell Private Cloud delivers an open, vendor-neutral architecture supporting Broadcom, Microsoft, Nutanix and Red Hat while offering up to 65% lower infrastructure costs
  • Launch positions Dell at the forefront of India’s AI transformation as enterprises seek greater data sovereignty, cyber resilience and production-scale artificial intelligence

Speaking on the launch, Venkat Sitaram, Senior Director and Country Head, Infrastructure Solutions Group, India, Dell Technologies, said: “For India’s CIOs and CTOs, the AI era has three non-negotiables: speed of deployment, sovereignty of data and measurable return on infrastructure. With PowerStore Elite, Dell Private Cloud and the industry’s broadest agentic AI portfolio, we are giving Indian enterprises a single, validated foundation to deliver on all three. The new Dell AI Ecosystem brings Google, OpenAI, NVIDIA, Hugging Face, Palantir, SpaceXAI and ServiceNow on one open, on-premise infrastructure platform and that is precisely the ecosystem advantage Indian enterprises need to move from AI experimentation to AI leadership.”

PowerStore Elite: Storage Built for the AI Age

Purpose-built for data-intensive AI environments, PowerStore Elite delivers up to three times higher performance and storage density than previous generations while offering as much as 5.8 petabytes of effective capacity within a compact 3U appliance.

Powered by industry-standard E3 NVMe flash architecture, the platform eliminates traditional storage refresh cycles through a fully modular design that allows drives, controllers and networking components to be upgraded without downtime or data migration.

The solution also offers an industry-leading 6:1 data reduction guarantee, enabling enterprises to manage explosive AI-driven data growth while optimising infrastructure costs.

Cyber Resilience Embedded at the Core

Recognising cybersecurity as a strategic imperative, Dell also introduced Dell Cyber Detect for PowerStore, scheduled for availability in September 2026.

The AI-powered security platform analyses data at the byte level and has been trained using thousands of ransomware variants, delivering 99.99% detection accuracy. It identifies the last known clean copy of compromised data, enabling organisations to reduce manual recovery efforts by up to 95% while accelerating incident resolution by as much as 10 times compared with conventional recovery methods.

Dell AI Factory Expands for the Agentic AI Era

Dell also significantly expanded its Dell AI Factory with NVIDIA, creating what it describes as a complete infrastructure foundation for agentic AI—autonomous AI systems capable of reasoning, planning and executing complex enterprise workflows.

The architecture enables organisations, particularly those operating in highly regulated industries such as banking, healthcare, legal services and government, to deploy production-scale AI entirely on-premises without moving sensitive enterprise data to public cloud environments.

Dell’s Deskside Agentic AI platform enables teams to run AI models ranging from 30 billion to one trillion parameters locally, preserving data sovereignty while potentially reducing cloud API costs by up to 87% over two years.

PowerRack Rewrites Enterprise AI Economics

The company also introduced Dell PowerRack, described as the industry’s first fully integrated rack-scale AI infrastructure that seamlessly combines compute, storage and networking.

Built on the latest NVIDIA Vera Rubin platform, PowerRack enables organisations to move from infrastructure delivery to production deployment in less than 6.5 hours, while delivering up to 10 times lower cost per token for large-scale agentic AI inferencing.

Open Private Cloud Without Vendor Lock-In

PowerStore Elite also serves as the storage backbone of Dell Private Cloud, orchestrated through the Dell Automation Platform, allowing enterprises to integrate compute, networking and storage on an open architecture supporting Broadcom, Microsoft, Nutanix and Red Hat.

The platform allows organisations to scale compute and storage independently, avoid proprietary lock-ins and realise infrastructure savings of up to 65% compared with conventional hyperconverged infrastructure.

The latest enhancements include support for VMware Cloud Foundation 9.1, Microsoft Azure Local and native integration between PowerStore Elite and Nutanix AHV, offering customers greater flexibility in their cloud modernisation journey.

Real-World Enterprise Adoption

Dell highlighted Omega Healthcare Management Services as a successful implementation example, where Dell Private Cloud has modernised mission-critical IT infrastructure supporting 24×7 healthcare operations for leading U.S. hospitals.

By integrating PowerEdge servers, PowerStore storage and PowerConnect networking across multiple delivery centres, the organisation has achieved uninterrupted clinical and administrative workflows while enabling independent infrastructure scaling across its global operations.
