Tamil Nadu Minister for Municipal Administration, Urban Development & Water Supply K N Nehru on Monday unveiled the Kauvery Hospitals’ ‘Institute of Brain & Spine’ on Radial Road, Kovilambakkam in Chennai in the presence of the Minister for Rural Development I Periyasami.
Inaugurating the Kauvery Hospital’s ‘Institute of Brain & Spine’, the Minister K N Nehru lauded the organic growth of Kauvery Group of Hospitals from Tiruchirappalli (on the banks of perennial River Kauvery) in 1999 with 30 beds to 2000 beds with its facilities spread across Tamil Nadu and neighbouring Karnataka. The minister also expressed gratitude for giving treatment to DMK Patriarch and former Chief Minister Kalaignar Karunanidhi.

He also endorsed the critical comment of Seeman, founder of Naam Tamilar Party (NTP) that Apollo Hospitals for AIADMK leaders and Kauvery Hospitals for DMK leaders and said that the former got exposed to the world after treating the late Puratchi Thalaivai M G Ramachandran and latter for treating Kalaignar Karunanidhi.
