Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) Dean and Chairman Admissions Dr. M. Kalyanasundaram on Thursday announced the schedule for the Online Counselling of Undergraduate Admission 2020.
The online counselling for the general quota candidates will be held for three days from November 26 to 28.
Subsequently, from November 30 to December 1 offline counselling for special reservations (Ex-Servicemen, Differently-abled, Sports and Vocational) will be conducted.
Seat and degree programme allotment for general quota candidates will be informed online on December 2. The scheduled date and time of certificate verification will be intimated to the candidates through their registered email and mobile number.
Following this, from December 7 to 12 (6 days), 600 candidates will be called for daily to verify the certificates by following standard operating procedure and guidelines issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu for COVID-19. The provisional seat allotment letter will be issued accordingly.
For diploma candidates, offline counseling will be conducted from December 3 to 6 (4 days)
The detailed information regarding online and offline counseling for general quota, special reservations (including NRI and Industrial quota) for degree programmes, respectively, and offline counseling for the diploma will be available in the website https://tnauonline.in.
Online Counselling Procedure
- Online counselling will be held on 26, 27, and 28 November 2020.
- Candidates selected for counselling will be informed through SMS and e-Mail.
- Those selected for counselling have to log in to https://tnauonine.in using their username and password provided at the time of filing the application
- Using the link given for payment they have to pay a counselling fee of Rs. 3,000 (For OC, BC, BCM, and MBC) and Rs. 1,500/- (For SC, SCA and ST)
- After making payment they have to go to the college choice preference page and press the modify button if they wish to change the preference already given during the time of application
- They can change the preference as many times they want within these three days. Each time they have to save their preferences.
- Once final submission is given then that will be the final preferences opted and no more change can be done
- If no change is made during these three days the choices given in the application will be taken as final
- Candidates have got to check their allotment using user name and password in the web site https://tnauonline.in on 2.12.2020
- Attending counseling is not a guarantee to get a seat allotment
- Candidates who have got allotment have to pay Rs. 20,000 through online mode.
- The date and time of verification of original documents will be intimated to the candidates through SMS and eMail
- On the allotted date and time the candidates have to come to TNAU, Coimbatore for verification
- Upon satisfactory verification, provisional allotment order will be issued to the candidates
- At the time of verification, candidates have to excise their willingness to sliding.
- Sliding is an upward process and will be implemented based on their preferences and will never go down.
- Once sliding is preferred the sliding process will be done for each counseling phase and the candidates have to join in the finally allotted college on the due date.
