US-based Healthcare major R1 RCM, one of the leading providers of technology-enabled revenue cycle management services for US hospitals, health systems and physician groups on Tuesday announced the launch of its state-of-the-art new back office in Porur area of Chennai.
Every chamber right from the training hall, conference hall and officials’ chamber were named after the cities of Tamil Nadu – Nilgiris, Yercaud, Meghamalai, Coonoor etc.
- R1’s new facility is in line with its vision and plans to mobilise the potential of India’s vibrant talent ecosystem and aims to hire 3000 employees in Chennai by the end of the calendar year.

Addressing the media, Abhijeet Pawar, EVP-Global Operations & India Country General Manager said, “India has always been mission critical for R1RCM. Answering a query on giving opportunity for existing Tamil Nadu-based employees to shift to the new facility, Swati Khandelwal answered affirmatively. Many employees wanted to move to their native state/city, and transfer applications are pouring in from other facilities to move to the Chennai facility, she added.
