Gone are the days when citizens had to run from post to pillar to avail of government schemes. Now government departments are reaching your doorstep with the newly launched Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra by the Central government. Ensuring last-mile delivery of government services at the grassroots level, this nationwide campaign is continuing its successful journey across various villages of Dharmapuri district.

- Yatra has so far covered over 40 panchayats across two blocks
- Gas agencies are collecting applications for new gas connections under PM Ujjwala Yojana, the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural to provide free LPG connections to adult women from poor households
- Farmers can register for Central government schemes like Kisan Credit Card, Soil Health card, etc at the campaign sites
- Chinnapalli, Perumbalai panchayaths (Eriyur block), V Muthampatti, Kondagarahalli panchayaths (Dharmapuri block) were covered on Friday
Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra which kickstarted its voyage in the district by November end has so far covered over 40 panchayats across two blocks. The general public is making use of a plethora of services offered by various Central government departments at the VBSY campaign locations. As a part of the campaign, gas agencies under Oil Marketing companies are collecting applications for new gas connections under PM Ujjwala Yojana, the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural to provide free LPG connections to adult women from poor households. Biometric authentication for PMUY customers, Aadhaar-Bank account seeding for customers not receiving subsidy, Mobile number updation, address change services are also offered at the stalls put up by gas agencies at the VBSY locations.

Indian Postal Department and Nationalized banks at VBSY campaign locations offer facilities for opening new Savings Bank accounts, Sukanya Samridhi Yojana accounts, Recurring deposits, Public Provident Funds, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana(PMJJBY), Atal Pension Yojana, PM Mudra Yojana, Mahila Samman Savings Certificate and PM Suraksha Bima Yojana(PMSBY) accounts. Aadhaar Updation services, child Aadhaar enrolment, Postal Life Insurance and Rural Postal Life Insurance services are also offered by Postal department at the VBSY campaign.
The public can also avail TB screening and Sickle Cell anemia screening facilities at the VBSY campaign sites. Village youth can also make use of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra to register themselves in the ‘Mera Yuva Bharat’ (My Bharat) program which aims to empower youth aged 15-29 by providing them with the necessary resources and opportunities for personal and community development. Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan officials at the VBSY campaign sites will help rural youth to enroll in the My Bharat portal.
Farmers can register for Central government schemes like Kisan Credit Card, Soil Health card, etc at the campaign sites. Under the auspices of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Dharmapuri farmers will be imparted awareness on organic farming, natural farming and various farming techniques. Madras Fertilizers Limited is giving a demonstration of drone technology for spraying nano-liquid urea and fertilizers in farmlands. Various other banking services are also offered at VBSY under the aegis of District Lead Bank. Interaction with beneficiaries of government schemes through sharing of their personal stories and awareness programmes on various government schemes also form a part of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
