NE EDUCATION BUREAU
AHMEDABAD, JULY 23

For a brilliant student, the distance between a dream and a degree is sometimes not determined by marks, merit or motivation—but by the ability to pay the next fee instalment.

Across India, thousands of deserving young minds continue to face this invisible barrier. Some postpone higher education. Others settle for courses that do not match their potential. Many simply give up—not because they lack talent, but because they do not know that financial support may be available.

That is why every scholarship alert can become more than an announcement. It can become a lifeline, a launchpad and a life-changing opportunity.

With the belief that no deserving student should be forced to abandon education because of financial hardship, Navjeevan Express, in association with Buddy4Study, continues its widely appreciated Scholarship Alert series, bringing verified opportunities from corporate CSR initiatives, educational institutions, philanthropic organisations and charitable trusts to the attention of students and families across the country.

The initiative is designed to ensure that scholarship information reaches not only students, but also the entire ecosystem that shapes their educational journeys—parents, teachers, schools, colleges, universities and career counsellors. A single forwarded scholarship alert could help a deserving student remain in school, enter college, pursue engineering or access a specialised professional programme.

OPPORTUNITIES OPEN FOR STUDENTS FROM DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS

The latest scholarship opportunities cover a wide spectrum of learners and aspirations:

Ujjivan Small Finance Bank Transgender Scholarship Program 2026–27

A CSR initiative of Ujjivan Small Finance Bank Limited, implemented through Buddy4Study, the programme seeks to support talented and deserving transgender students across India.

The scholarship is open to students studying in Classes 9 to 12 as well as those pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at recognised government or private open schools and universities.

The programme aims to help transgender learners continue their education and pursue their academic aspirations with greater financial security.

uGSOT Scholarship Program 2026: Backing the Next Generation of Tech Talent

The uGSOT Scholarship Program 2026, offered by upGrad School of Technology, is aimed at science students who have passed Class 12 and wish to pursue a B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science.

The programme supports aspirants seeking specialised education in emerging and high-demand domains such as:

  • Generative AI and Machine Learning
  • Quantum Computing
  • Full Stack Development

For students looking to build careers in the rapidly expanding technology ecosystem, the scholarship can help make specialised undergraduate education more accessible.

Schaeffler India Hope Engineering Scholarship Program 2026

Engineering dreams deserve a fair chance, regardless of a student’s economic circumstances.

The Schaeffler India Hope Engineering Scholarship Program 2026 supports female students entering the first year of engineering from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, with special consideration for students with disabilities (PwD).

Established in 2019, the programme provides selected scholars with financial assistance of ₹50,000 per year, along with mentorship support from Schaeffler India professionals.

The objective goes beyond financial assistance: it seeks to help young women remain on the engineering pathway, excel academically and build meaningful careers in the sector.

Satya Scholarship Program 2026: Merit Meets Opportunity

The Satya Scholarship Program 2026, an initiative of Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust, seeks to ensure that meritorious students from Punjab do not have to sacrifice higher education because of financial constraints.

Class 12 graduates pursuing three- to five-year undergraduate or integrated master’s programmes in:

  • Commerce
  • Engineering
  • Medical and Health Sciences

at select institutes can receive 100% tuition-fee coverage and accommodation support.

For many deserving students, such comprehensive assistance can transform higher education from an unaffordable ambition into a realistic career pathway.

Kotak Kanya Scholarship 2026–27: Investing in the Education of India’s Daughters

The Kotak Kanya Scholarship 2026–27, a collaborative CSR initiative of Kotak Mahindra Group companies and Kotak Education Foundation, is designed to support meritorious girl students from underprivileged backgrounds.

Girls who have passed Class 12 and secured admission to a professional undergraduate course can receive financial assistance of ₹1.5 lakh per year until completion of their degree.

The scholarship seeks to ensure that academic merit, rather than family income, determines whether a talented girl can pursue professional higher education.

Luxury Connect Business School Scholarship Program 2026–27

For students aspiring to build careers in the luxury industry, the Luxury Connect Business School Scholarship Program 2026–27 offers an opportunity to pursue specialised education with financial support.

Students admitted to the:

  • MBA in Luxury Brand Management
  • Advanced Diploma in Luxury Retail Management & Client Experience

can receive tuition-fee waivers for their studies at LCBS.

The programme aims to make specialised education in luxury brand management, retail and client experience more accessible to aspiring professionals.

SOF Defence Services Academic Excellence Scholarship 2026–27

The Science Olympiad Foundation Defence Services Academic Excellence Scholarship (DSAS) 2026–27 seeks to recognise academic achievement among students from families serving the nation.

The scholarship is offered to students studying in Classes 1 to 10 and aims to reward academic excellence among children of personnel belonging to the Indian Defence Services and Internal Security Services.

A SCHOLARSHIP ALERT IS AN OPPORTUNITY THAT SHOULD NOT STOP WITH ONE STUDENT

The common thread running through these opportunities is simple: talent is everywhere, but access to information is not.

A student may be eligible for a scholarship but remain unaware of it. A parent may not know where to look. A teacher may have a deserving student in the classroom but no information about available financial aid. A counsellor may be able to guide dozens of students with the right scholarship information.

That is why students and stakeholders should not merely read scholarship alerts—they should act on them and share them.

Students should carefully check eligibility criteria, course requirements, application timelines and supporting-document requirements before applying. Parents and teachers can play a crucial role by identifying deserving candidates and encouraging them to apply. Schools, colleges and career counsellors can amplify the impact by circulating verified opportunities among eligible students.

THE MESSAGE IS CLEAR: DON’T LET FINANCIAL HARDSHIP WRITE THE FINAL LINE OF A STUDENT’S STORY

From transgender learners seeking educational continuity to girl students aspiring to become engineers, from technology enthusiasts and future luxury professionals to students from defence families, these scholarships represent a powerful message:

A student’s financial background should not decide the height of their dreams.

Navjeevan Express, in association with Buddy4Study, will continue to bring verified scholarship opportunities to students and families so that deserving learners can discover the support they need—and take the next step towards the future they deserve.
