Porbandar will experience that stirring blend of melody, maritime pride and national spirit on Sunday evening, as the Indian Navy Band takes centre stage for a special Independence Day performance.
To commemorate the 80th Independence Day, the Indian Navy Band will perform at Birla Hall, Porbandar, on August 9, offering the public an evening of stirring naval marches, patriotic melodies and soulful numbers.
The performance will begin at 6 p.m., with the audience requested to be seated by 5.30 p.m. Entry is free, although seating is limited.
The one-hour musical presentation is aimed at fostering national pride through public engagement while adding a special cultural dimension to the Independence Day celebrations.
A musical salute to the nation
A team of Indian Navy musicians will take the stage with a repertoire designed to evoke the spirit of patriotism and celebrate the country’s rich musical and national heritage.
According to an official statement, the Navy Band’s energetic performance is expected to raise the patriotic spirit of the audience with a selection of patriotic and soulful numbers.

With entry free and seating limited, members of the public have been advised to reach Birla Hall well in advance.
