Shri Sankatmochan Mahavir Temple, Rancharda, Ahmedabad will host grand celebrations on Hanuman Prakototsav (Hanuman Jayanti) on April 2, 2026 (Thursday), inviting devotees into a spiritually charged atmosphere of devotion, service and divine experience.
A major highlight of the celebrations will be the darshan of a massive 20-foot-long and 8-foot-wide reclining idol of Hanumanji, a rare and awe-inspiring representation that is expected to draw devotees from far and wide.

The day-long programme will feature continuous Maha Prasad distribution, followed by Sunderkand recitation at 6 PM and Maha Aarti at 8 PM, creating a seamless flow of devotion from dawn to dusk.
DAY-LONG CELEBRATIONS
Established by the boundless grace of Neem Karoli Baba, the temple has curated a series of religious and social programmes, making the occasion a blend of spirituality and service. The event remains open to all devotees, transcending boundaries of caste, creed and community.
FOUNDER’S MESSAGE
Temple founder Dr. Pravinbhai Garg stated, “On this occasion, we are not just celebrating a religious festival but spreading the message of service. This is the fourth temple in India with a reclining (resting) idol of Hanumanji, where devotees can experience Baba Neeb Karori’s infinite grace.”
Weighing nearly 2000 kg and sculpted from special stone sourced from Rajasthan, the idol carries profound symbolic depth. Beneath Hanumanji’s feet lies Patal Lok with Ahiravan (brother of Ravan), while Hanumanji is depicted holding Ram–Laxman, with his son Makardhwaj by his side—an embodiment of power, liberation and enlightenment
He further invited all devotees to attend and receive divine blessings on this sacred occasion.
