Surat-based Sahajanand Technologies Private Limited. (STPL), a global leader in diamond technologies, industrial lasers, additive manufacturing, and medical devices, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Karnavati University, Ahmedabad on Thursday. The collaboration reinforces STPL’s commitment to bridging the industry–academia gap and building future-ready talent.
The MoU was signed by Trinayan Jyoti Saikia, General Manager – HR & Administration, STPL, and Dr Rebakah Geddam, Assistant Dean, Unitedworld of Technology, Karnavati University, in the presence of Tariq Ali, Register, Karnavati University, Shayan Pal, Director of Career Services, Karnavati University.
With more than 33 years of innovation and exports to over 35 countries, STPL is driven by its vision of “Make in India, Robots for the World.” The new partnership aims to provide hands-on learning, research opportunities, and career pathways to students, while strengthening India’s standing in deep-tech innovation.
Building talent for tomorrow
The MoU is designed to create a structured platform where students can engage in internships, industrial visits, hackathons, and start-up mentorship programmes. This will prepare them to address real-world challenges and contribute to India’s high-growth sectors.
Highlighting the strategic role of human resources, Trinayan Jyoti Saikia, General Manager – HR & Administration, STPL, said: “At STPL, we are not just hiring talent—we are nurturing visionaries. Through this collaboration, we want to empower India’s youth with global opportunities right here at home, while positioning India as a Vishwa Guru in deep-tech innovation.”
University welcomes industry partnership
Speaking on the occasion, a representative from Karnavati University emphasized the importance of such partnerships in shaping the future of higher education.

Redefining HR Leadership in Technology
STPL has already forged partnerships with 40+ leading institutes including IIIT Surat, IIM Bodh Gaya, IIT Goa, DAIICT, Nirma University, and MSU Baroda. Its HR-led innovation culture has contributed to 60+ technology patents, positioning the company as a pioneer in making HR a strategic growth driver in India’s technology ecosystem.
