GANDHINAGAR, FEB 7
The School of Applied Sciences, Engineering and Technology (SASET) at Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU)—an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India—is set to host the Indo-Swiss Blockchain Forum (ISBF) 2026, a prestigious three-day international conference dedicated to advancing blockchain innovation and global digital finance.
Organised in close collaboration with the University of Zurich (UZH), Switzerland, a globally recognised leader in blockchain research and education, the forum will commence on February 9, 2026, at the RRU Gandhinagar Campus. ISBF 2026 will focus on the evolution of blockchain technologies, cross-border use cases, and their strategic role in shaping the future of secure, transparent and resilient financial systems.
A Global Platform Where Innovation Meets Security
Meticulously designed as a high-level knowledge exchange platform, ISBF 2026 will bring together distinguished experts from leading financial institutions, regulatory bodies and top-tier academia. The forum aims to foster informed dialogue, academic–industry collaboration, and innovation at the intersection of blockchain, national security and digital finance.
The initiative seeks to enable meaningful engagement between policymakers, researchers, professionals and learners, creating a collaborative environment where innovation is aligned with governance, security and compliance.
Distinguished Leadership and Policy Participation
The forum will be inaugurated by a distinguished panel of experts and policymakers, including Prof. (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel, Vice-Chancellor of RRU; Shri K. Rajaraman, Chairperson of the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA); Prof. Dr. Claudio J. Tessone of the University of Zurich; and Dr. Keyur Patel, Director, SASET.
The primary objective of ISBF 2026 is to advance global knowledge and awareness of blockchain applications across financial technology, governance frameworks and national security ecosystems.
Adding to its stature, the forum will host senior representatives from India’s premier financial and regulatory institutions, including the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and IFSCA, alongside senior executives, vice presidents, CISOs and blockchain practitioners for an intensive three-day engagement.
Deep-Dive into the Blockchain and Digital Finance Stack
ISBF 2026 offers a structured and comprehensive exploration of the blockchain ecosystem, beginning with the evolution and architecture of Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) and the fundamentals of financial tokenization.
The programme progresses into cryptographic security frameworks, addressing wallet infrastructure, threat mitigation and cyber resilience, before examining the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency ecosystem, including mining protocols and trading dynamics.
Participants will further explore Ethereum’s smart contract ecosystem, EVM-compatible development, and the legal frameworks governing decentralised applications (DApps). The forum will also analyse the rapid evolution of Decentralised Finance (DeFi), covering tokenisation standards, Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), Real-World Asset (RWA) integration, and associated protocol risks.
A strong regulatory lens will be applied through sessions on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) architectures, advanced crypto forensics, fraud mitigation strategies, and the latest Financial Action Task Force (FATF) global standards.
The forum will conclude with forward-looking discussions on next-generation blockchain architectures, including DAOs, rollups and resilient systems, followed by focused deliberations on Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), international regulatory frameworks, and a concluding synthesis panel.
Strengthening India’s Digital Economy Vision
The Indo-Swiss Blockchain Forum (ISBF) 2026 reaffirms India’s commitment to building a secure, transparent and innovation-driven digital economy. By accelerating the adoption of blockchain, smart contracts and decentralised finance, the forum seeks to strengthen a future-ready financial infrastructure aligned with the highest global standards.
