A Annadurai, an officer of the Indian Railway Stores Service (IRSS) of 1990 batch, has assumed charge as Principal Chief Materials Manager (PCMM), Southern Railway with effect from 20th March 2026. Prior to this assignment, he served as Senior Deputy General Manager & Chief Vigilance Officer in South Western Railway.

With a distinguished career spanning over 34 years, Shri Annadurai has vast experience in various facets of railway working and has served Southern Railway, Integral Coach Factory, South Central Railway, South Western Railway and East Coast Railway. He has played a key role in vigilance administration, particularly in handling complaints referred by the Central Vigilance Commission and Railway Board, besides overseeing zonal-level complaint management systems.
Shri Annadurai holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Policy & Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. He has also undergone specialised management training at Syracuse University, New York, and completed an Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD, Singapore.
Earlier, during his tenure as Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Salem Division, the division secured the Overall Efficiency Shield for three consecutive years for its all-round performance in passenger and freight operations as well as material management. He also took proactive initiatives in organising special vaccination camps during the COVID-19 pandemic, coordinating with district authorities across multiple districts under the division.
