A healthier tomorrow begins with the everyday choices we make today. Bringing the wisdom of Ayurveda closer to young minds and the wider school community, Kalorex Future School, Ghatlodia, organised a health awareness session and free medical check-up camp under its Kalorex Swasthya Utsav, in collaboration with Government Akhandanand Ayurved Hospital, Bhadra, Ahmedabad.

The initiative sought to strengthen awareness about preventive healthcare, healthy living and the importance of incorporating wellness practices into everyday life, extending the benefits of health education beyond the classroom.

A special session on ‘Dincharya – Daily Routine with Ayurveda Concept’ was conducted for students by Medical Officer Dr Komal Katara, under the guidance of the Hospital Superintendent.

The session highlighted the significance of maintaining a disciplined daily routine, adopting healthy lifestyle habits and understanding traditional Ayurvedic principles that promote physical and mental well-being. By introducing students to the concept of Dincharya, the programme encouraged them to appreciate how simple, consistent practices can contribute to a healthier lifestyle.

Free health screening and medical guidance

Complementing the awareness programme, a free health check-up, diagnosis and treatment camp was organised for students, parents, teachers and visitors.

The medical team assessed participants’ health requirements and provided appropriate guidance, counselling and Ayurvedic medicines free of cost, wherever required, based on individual health assessments.

The camp offered an opportunity for members of the school community to seek medical advice, understand their health concerns and become more conscious of the importance of timely attention to healthcare needs.

Building a culture of preventive wellness

Through Kalorex Swasthya Utsav, the school continues to promote a culture in which health awareness, preventive care and holistic well-being are integral to education and community engagement.

The collaboration with Government Akhandanand Ayurved Hospital also provided a meaningful platform for connecting traditional healthcare knowledge with contemporary school-based wellness initiatives.

By encouraging children and adults alike to make informed health choices, Kalorex Future School reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing not just academically equipped students, but also a healthier, more aware and wellness-conscious community.
