In response to the summer vacation rush, Indian Railways has stepped up operations with special trains and enhanced crowd management, ensuring a smooth travel experience at Udhna Railway Station in Gujarat.
Passengers travelling to their hometowns during the peak season have expressed satisfaction with the arrangements made by Western Railway, citing improved facilities and efficient handling of large crowds.
On a single day, more than 23,000 passengers were facilitated through a combination of regular and special train services. To further ease congestion, two additional special trains have been scheduled to depart at 21:40 hrs and 23:30 hrs. The operation of these services has significantly strengthened crowd control and ensured smoother passenger flow.
Passengers highlighted that regulated boarding and systematic queue management have made journeys more comfortable compared to previous years. Continuous monitoring, deployment of on-ground staff, and provision of essential amenities have ensured safe and orderly movement across the station.
A passenger travelling to Banaras appreciated the active role of railway staff, noting that they are effectively managing queues and assisting passengers in boarding trains in an organised manner, ensuring both safety and punctual departures.
Another passenger travelling from Valsad to Mau shared that additional halts and better coordination have improved connectivity and convenience. He acknowledged the efforts made to accommodate increased demand during the peak travel period.
Reaffirming its commitment, Indian Railways continues to assess passenger demand and augment services accordingly, while advising travellers to rely only on official communication and avoid misinformation.
