AHMEDABAD, AUG 17
As the nation celebrated its 80th Independence Day with renewed pride in the journey of a free India, Ahmedabad witnessed a vibrant display of patriotism as the Anti-Corruption Committee, alias Bhrashtachar Nirmoolan Samiti, organised a Tiranga Yatra to spread the message of a corruption-free India.
The Tiranga Yatra, held as part of the Independence Day celebrations, sought to transform patriotic fervour into a collective resolve to build a transparent, honest and corruption-free nation. Waving the Tricolour with pride, participants carried the message of public awareness and urged citizens to contribute towards strengthening integrity and accountability in public life.
The Yatra was organised under the committee’s “Sankalp for a Corruption-Free India”, with the organisers emphasising that the spirit of Independence must also inspire the country to fight corruption and uphold the values of honesty, responsibility and national service.
The procession was led by National President Rabindra Dwivedi, National Working President Alok Dwivedi, and Gujarat Core Committee national office-bearers Urmil Shah, Mahesh Prajapati, Mukesh Khatri and Bharat Patel.
Several Gujarat office-bearers, including J apan Panchal, Hardik Panchal, Narsinh Panchal, Umesh Patel, Pankil Patel, Neel Zaveri, Bharat Panchal and Jignesh Kosti, participated in the Yatra and added colour and energy to the patriotic campaign.
Office-bearers and representatives from several other States and districts across the country also joined the programme, making the Tiranga Yatra a broader national campaign for public awareness against corruption.
The leaders, in their addresses, called upon citizens to make patriotism a living commitment rather than merely an Independence Day sentiment, stressing that a truly strong India must be built on integrity, transparency and collective responsibility.
The event thus combined the pride of the Tricolour with a social message, seeking to inspire citizens to make the fight against corruption an integral part of their contribution to nation-building.
