AHMEDABAD, AUG 19
Gold is glittering on India’s investment map—and Augmont Enterprises Ltd is now preparing to take that sparkle to Dalal Street. The integrated gold and silver platform is set to launch its ₹825-crore initial public offering (IPO) on August 21, offering investors a chance to participate in a business that spans the precious-metals value chain from procurement and refining to bullion trading, digital gold, jewellery manufacturing and technology-enabled services.
The IPO has been priced in the ₹750–₹788 per equity share range, with the company seeking to raise ₹620 crore through a fresh issue and ₹205 crore through an offer for sale (OFS) by promoters. At the upper end of the price band, Augmont is expected to command a post-issue market capitalisation of around ₹7,200 crore.
Promoters Namita Ketan Kothari, Vivek Prithviraj Kothari and Dimple Mukesh Kothari will participate in the OFS.
A golden date with the markets
The IPO process begins with anchor investor bidding on August 20, followed by the public subscription window from August 21 to August 25. The equity shares are proposed to be listed on both the BSE and NSE on August 31.
The IPO lot size has been fixed at 19 equity shares, with investors able to bid in multiples of 19 thereafter.
Of the shares offered to the public, not more than 50% has been reserved for qualified institutional buyers (QIBs), not less than 15% for non-institutional investors (NIIs), and not less than 35% for retail investors.
The basis of allotment is tentatively scheduled to be finalised on August 27, with refunds and credit of shares to demat accounts expected on August 28.
₹465 crore war chest for working capital
The heart of the fresh issue is working capital.
Augmont plans to deploy around ₹465 crore of the fresh issue proceeds towards future working-capital requirements. This includes procurement and expansion of inventory, inventory maintenance and advance margin requirements associated with inventory procurement.
The balance is proposed to be used for general corporate purposes.
The capital infusion is significant for a precious-metals business where inventory availability, liquidity and the ability to meet advance-margin requirements can directly influence the scale and speed of operations.
From bullion to digital gold
Augmont has built an integrated presence across the gold and silver ecosystem, serving businesses and consumers across 24 states.
Its operations cover procurement and refining, bullion trading, digital gold, jewellery manufacturing, financial services and technology platforms, giving it exposure to multiple stages of the precious-metals value chain.
The company also deals in physical precious-metal products such as bullion bars and coins, while its digital platforms enable customers to purchase and accumulate gold online.
The integrated model gives Augmont a presence across both physical and digital formats, positioning the company within India’s rapidly evolving gold-investment and bullion ecosystem.
Digital platforms emerge as revenue glitter
A particularly striking feature of Augmont’s business is the scale of its two online platforms—Augmont SPOT and Augmont Gold For All.
Together, the platforms generated ₹84,762.62 crore in FY26, accounting for around 90% of revenue from operations, compared with ₹56,523.26 crore in FY25 and ₹32,477.87 crore in FY24.
The sharp rise underscores the growing role of technology in Augmont’s precious-metals business and highlights how digital distribution has become an increasingly important channel for accessing customers and facilitating gold transactions.
Listing to add market sheen
The company expects a stock-market listing to enhance its brand visibility while creating a public market for its equity shares in India.
For investors, the IPO offers exposure to a company operating at the intersection of India’s enduring affinity for gold and the accelerating digitisation of precious-metals transactions.
Augmont’s integrated model—combining refining, minting, bullion trading, physical precious metals, digital gold, jewellery manufacturing and related financial and technology services—provides the company with a broad footprint across the gold and silver value chain.
