The first full-fledged session of the 17th Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly under the Chief Minister C. The address also firmly reiterated Tamil Nadu’s long-standing opposition to the National Education Policy’s three-language formula.
The Governor declared: “Tamil Nadu strongly opposes the three-language formula and urges the Union Government to reconsider its implementation.”
He also emphasised expanding the use of Tamil in administration and judicial proceedings, reinforcing the state’s linguistic and cultural identity.

Chief Minister Vijay used the occasion to reassure members and the people that the government would adopt a zero-tolerance approach towards encroachments on temple lands and assets.
He assured that temple properties would be safeguarded through transparent administration, legal action wherever necessary and systematic documentation to preserve religious institutions for future generations.
